New Activity!!! Tea, Treats, & TedTalks !! 

Every 4th Tuesday, Beginning January 28, at 11 a.m. in Room 201

If you’re thinking, “what is a TedTalk?”

‘A TedTalk’ is a showcase for speakers presenting great, well-formed ideas in under 18 minutes.  Every meeting we will watch a TedTalk video and discuss it over tea and some light snacks.

HEY, HERE WE ARE AGAIN!!!!!   KAPS 4 KIDS!!

Our mission is making hats and scarves for elementary school children in our area.  We also participate in the Center’s bazaar on the 3rd Sat in October to make $$$ supporting various programs at the Center.

The welcome mat is out for the six new members that have joined our group since December.  We are happy to have you and your talents.

We want to emphasize that you do NOT have to be a member of the Hollin Hall Senior Center to participate in our “volunteer” group.  BUT there are many benefits if you do become a member.  You get to enjoy the wide variety of events and activities the Center has to offer.

We are always looking for donations of “good, usable” yarn.  Donations can be left in the office if you are unable to be at our meeting.  Some “mystery” people have contributed along with people we already know.  In fact, we do have a faithful “mystery” lady that does a GREAT job of knitting hats and sends them to us.  We give a HEARTY THANKS to those that have contributed.

YARN…YARN…YARN…YARN

Maybe we should have “YARN” as a password….nah, we do not need a password.  WE NEED YOU!

Our group consists of people that either knit or crochet.  We have members that will help you “refresh” your skills if that is your need.  We have the yarn.  We have needles. 

AND we are a FUN group.

DMV Connect will be at Hollin Hall Sr. Center twice a month from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.  Their staff breaks for lunch approximately Noon-1 p.m.
